How to Get an Arattai Message Template Approved

How to Get an Arattai Template Approved

Every template is reviewed before it can send. The review checks your content against Arattai's legal, privacy and anti-spam rules.

Template Statuses

Status

What it means

Draft

Being created or edited, not submitted

Under review

Submitted and waiting on moderation

Approved

Ready. You can send it through the API.

Rejected

The reviewer flagged something. Read the rejection reason, correct it, and submit again.

Each language version carries its own status, so approving or rejecting one never blocks another.

How to Submit a Template for Review

  1. Open the template you want to submit.

  2. With your content complete, select Submit for review.

  3. Choose which language versions you are submitting.

  4. Confirm. The status moves to Under review and the content becomes read-only.

If your content is not ready, save it as a draft instead. Drafts are not reviewed and do not expire.

How to Withdraw a Submission

While a template is Under review, open it and select Withdraw submission to pull it back before moderation completes. It returns to draft and you can keep editing.

How Long Approval Takes

Getting a template approved takes less than three working days. The outcome reaches you as a console notification, and you can see the reason for any rejection.

What Happens to a Live Template While an Edit Is Under Review

  • Your approved template keeps sending its existing content for the whole time the edit is under review. Nothing changes for customers or your integration.

  • When the edit is approved, the new content starts sending from that point.

  • A webhook event (messagetemplate.approval.updated) fires when the status changes to approved, so your systems can react at the moment the switch happens rather than polling for it.

If a Template Is Rejected

  1. Open the template, or the specific language version, that was rejected.

  2. Open Rejection reason to read the reviewer's comments.

  3. Correct what was flagged and submit again.

  4. If you would rather go back to an earlier version, you can restore a previous approved version from the templates view.

NotesNote: An approved, live template can be restricted later if it draws user reports or negative feedback. Arattai works with you to review it and guide corrections before it goes back into use. Getting it approved again follows the same process as an initial rejection.
