Level | What it is |
Company | The account you create at sign-up. It is your billing root and your identity anchor, and it holds one or more businesses. |
Business | A brand, outlet or product line operating under the company. It owns its own templates and display name, and carries its own verification status. |
Number | A phone number linked to one business. This is where messaging actually happens. It carries the profile customers see and the mini apps pinned for them. |
This | Lives at | Which means |
Message templates and mini apps | Business | Every number under a business shares them. |
Wallet and billing | Company | One balance funds every business and number under the company. |
Mini app settings | Number | You pin mini apps to specific numbers, and the data a mini app may request is set per number. |
Reply and promotional settings | Number | Allow text replies and Enable promotions are configured separately for each business number. |
You still have both a company and a business. The structure does not change, it is just one pair rather than a company with several businesses beneath it.
Note: If your company and your business are the same legal entity, you can use the same verification for both. Verify the company, then use those same details for the business and it is marked verified immediately. The two-level split exists for larger enterprises that run several brands or outlets and need to manage many business phone numbers under one billing account.
