One template can carry many language versions. Each is drafted, submitted, reviewed and approved on its own, so a change to one language does not disturb another.
Your English version can be approved and live while your Hindi version is still a draft.
The template keeps working in whatever languages are currently approved.
You can hold one draft per language at a time. Submitting a language for approval submits whatever draft is saved on it.
A template cannot be created or submitted until its default language is complete and valid. This guarantees at least one usable version exists before any translation is added.
There are two ways:
By default, Arattai selects the appropriate language for the user based on the language the customer has chosen in the Arattai app.
If needed, you can override this explicitly in the API request to use a particular language for a target user.
Either way, if the language you want is not available for the template, the message falls back to the default language.
Note: If a variable exists in the default language, it must exist by the same name in every other language version. Variables unique to one language are not supported.Under Templates, click on the template you want to add languages to.
Selct Add icon in the Languages section.
Choose the language and enter its translated content. The fields and message structure mirror the default language: title, body, footer, media and buttons.
Submit that language for review on its own.
At any point you can open the language, make your changes, and either save them as a draft or discard them.
Editing a language that is currently approved and live does not affect what customers receive immediately, your changes sit as a new draft and the approved version keeps sending until the draft is approved.
You can switch back to view the live approved version at any time, and revert to it (which discards the pending draft).
Open the language version and select Delete language, then confirm. Only that translation is removed. The template and its other languages are unaffected.
Note: Deleting the template removes every language on it at once. If you only want to remove one translation, delete the language, not the template.Your template has an approved English version actively sending, and a Tamil version still in draft. You edit the English text to improve the tracking link wording.
The approved English version keeps sending exactly as before, with no interruption.
Your edit sits as a pending draft until it is reviewed and approved.
Customers whose app language is Tamil keep receiving the English version, because the Tamil translation is not approved yet.
