How to Add a Phone Number to Your Arattai Business

A business number is the phone number your customers message. Everything else on the platform, templates, mini apps and conversations, ultimately runs through it.

What You Need First  

  • You can add one number to a business straight away, even before that business is verified. Use it to build and test.

  • To add more than one number, the business needs to be verified.

Note: An unverified business's number can only message test recipients.

Important: Read This If the Number Is Already on Arattai  

If the phone number you are adding is already registered as a personal Arattai account, adding it here will convert it into a platform account. Before you continue:

  • Back up your chats. Any chat that is not backed up is lost and cannot be recovered.

  • Hand over ownership in groups and channels. The number leaves every group and channel it is in. If it is the only owner or admin of a channel, assign someone else first, or that channel is left without one.

This action is not reversible.



How to Add a Number  

  1. Go to Numbers and select Add number. You can also use the Add number link against a business in the Business list.

  2. Verify the number. Enter the phone number and select Send OTP, then enter the code you receive.

  3. Link it to a business. Choose the company and the business this number belongs to, then confirm. A number belongs to exactly one business.

  4. Set up the profile. Complete the profile your customers will see.
